Welcome to the Cub Scouts Pack 119 website!


Our Pack meetings will begin again in September 2009 and are held at 7:00 P.M. on the last Friday of the month at Lander Elementary School in Mayfield Heights, OH. Den meetings are held periodically through the month at locations designated by each Den Leader. We ended the 2008-2009 scouting year with 48 Scouts, 5 dens, and 20 volunteers. Pack 119 has been involved in many activities last year. These include:
- Raingutter Regatta
- Blue and Gold Banquet
- Pinewood Derby
- Family Camp outs, including Winter, Spring and Summer camping activities
- Meals on Wheels Thanksgiving Delivery
- Egg Drop Contest
- Lander School Clean-up
- Holiday caroling
- And many Den activities!
Pack 119 is proud to be sponsored by Lander School PTO of Mayfield Heights, OH. We are also one of the many packs, troops, and crews that make up the Glacier Ridge District which is a part of the Greater Cleveland Council.

We are still looking for volunteers for the Mother’s Day pancake breakfast hosted by the City of Mayfield Heights on Sunday, May 10. Please contact Barry Jacobs if you are interested in participating.

Please join us at this annual event. It is a great opportunity for Cubs, Scouts, and Crew Members to experience the patriotic feeling of retiring hundreds of United States Flags in an appropriate manner. Adult leaders needed to monitor for safety.

The deadline for summer Cub Scout camp registration is rapidly approaching—next Tuesday, May 5. The boys had a terrific time last year at the North Chagrin Reservation. We invite you to be part of the fun this year.
Camp is June 15-19, which is the first full week after most of the schools are out. Camp registration is $62 for Cub Scouts. Tag-along siblings are no charge. Form are available on line at: http://www.gccbsa.org/CubWorld/forms/forms.htm

Sunday August 23rd 2009 starts at 1 PM behind Greens of Lyndhurst shopping center-we will meet a few hours before to decorate. We will be in the parade with decorated trailer and the kids handing out flyers and candy.

The site has been booked! So far approximately 24 individuals have signed up! There is pleanty of time to sign up, email Barry Jacobs at bjacobs@pack119.net.
The spring campout this year will be from May 23rd through May 24 at Pymatuning State Park, near Jamestown Pennsylvania.
The south shore of the park, including Jamestown Campgound, boat launch, beach, cabins, picnic areas, group tenting and the park office, can be reaced from U.S. Route 322. The north shore of the park, including Linesville Campground, beach, picnic areas, boat launch, marina and cabins can be reached from U. S. Route 6.
